FLAT Is Now Digital Cash — Send to Anyone, They Pay $0 Gas

Starting today, you can send FLAT to any wallet — even one with zero ETH and zero transactions. The recipient pays nothing. FlatBearer makes FLAT work like physical cash.

Starting today, FLAT works like physical cash. You can hand it to someone — even if they have no wallet, no ETH, and no idea what gas fees are. They just receive it.

We call it FlatBearer.

The Problem with Crypto Transfers

Every token transfer on Ethereum requires the recipient to have ETH for gas. This creates a paradox: to receive your first crypto, you already need crypto. It's like needing a bank account to open a bank account.

Physical cash doesn't work this way. You hand someone a $20 bill. They don't need an account, a fee, or permission. They just have it.

We wanted FLAT to work the same way.

How FlatBearer Works

FlatBearer is a smart contract deployed on Ethereum mainnet that enables gasless delivery of FLAT tokens. Here's the flow:

Step 1 — Commit: The sender enters the recipient's address and amount on flat.cash/bearer. They sign one transaction that locks the FLAT behind a cryptographic hash. This is the only transaction the sender pays gas for.

Step 2 — Deliver: The sender clicks "Deliver Now". Our relayer picks up the request and calls reveal() on-chain, routing the FLAT directly to the recipient's wallet. The recipient pays nothing — zero gas, zero interaction required.

That's it. Two clicks for the sender. Zero clicks for the recipient.

Recipient Pays $0 Gas

This is the key innovation. When you click "Deliver Now," our backend relayer submits the reveal transaction and pays the gas. The recipient's wallet simply receives FLAT tokens — no signature, no approval, no ETH balance needed.

Delivered! Recipient paid $0 gas.
Delivered! Recipient paid $0 gas.

In the screenshot above, 4 FLAT was delivered to a wallet that has zero ETH and has never sent a transaction. The tokens just appeared.

For users who want privacy, FlatBearer also supports claim links. Instead of clicking "Deliver Now," the sender can generate a secret link and share it privately (via Signal, email, or even a QR code). The recipient opens the link and claims the FLAT from any wallet they choose — breaking the on-chain link between sender and recipient.

This is optional. Most users will prefer the instant delivery. But the option exists for those who need it.

The Smart Contract

FlatBearer is deployed and verified on Ethereum mainnet:

  • Contract: 0xc9a1fd3cAe394eca5cAf9411c6c5C43df695cBcc
  • Verified source code: Fully readable on Etherscan
  • Safety: If a recipient never claims, the sender can reclaim after 30 days
  • Immutable: The contract cannot be upgraded or modified by anyone

Why This Matters

Most crypto projects talk about "mass adoption" while requiring users to understand gas, bridges, RPCs, and wallet management. FlatBearer removes all of that for the recipient.

If you hold FLAT, you can now send it to:

  • A friend who has never used crypto
  • A fresh wallet with zero ETH
  • Anyone, anywhere, without them lifting a finger

This is what digital cash should feel like.

Try It Now

Visit flat.cash/bearer, connect your wallet, and send FLAT to anyone. They'll receive it instantly with zero gas fees.
