The financial system was never designed for you. It was designed for intermediaries — banks that charge you to hold your own money, payment processors that take a cut of every transaction, and compliance regimes that treat you as guilty until proven innocent. Every wire transfer, every currency conversion, every cross-border payment passes through a chain of rent-seekers who add cost without adding value.
Today, we change that.
FlatID is now live. A complete digital banking experience built on the FLAT Protocol — where you hold real assets, earn real yield, and transact with anyone on Earth, in any currency, without asking permission from anyone.
What Is FlatID?
FlatID is your identity on the FLAT Protocol. Think of it as a digital bank account — but one where you are the bank. No credit checks. No minimum balances. No monthly fees. No permission required.
With nothing more than a username and password, you get:
- A Checking Account that holds FLAT — the world's first CPI-pegged stablecoin, mathematically guaranteed to preserve your purchasing power against inflation.
- A Savings Account that holds SAVE — locked RISE tokens that earn yield from the protocol's autonomous treasury operations. Your savings grow every 12 seconds when
pulse()fires. - A P2P Exchange where you can buy and sell FLAT for any fiat currency — directly with other users, no intermediary required.
This is not a custodial exchange. This is not a fintech wrapper around a traditional bank. This is a new financial primitive.
The Checking Account: FLAT
Your FlatID checking account holds FLAT — a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI-U). Unlike dollar-pegged stablecoins that lose purchasing power to inflation every year, FLAT's target price rises with the cost of living. One FLAT today buys the same basket of goods as one FLAT in ten years.
What you can do with your FLAT balance:
Send FLAT to any other FlatID user instantly — no gas fees, no blockchain confirmation delays. The transfer is internal, settled in milliseconds. You type a username, enter an amount, and it arrives.
Receive FLAT from anyone who knows your FlatID username. Share it like a Venmo handle. No wallet addresses to copy. No QR codes to scan (though we have those too, if you want them).
Deposit FLAT from an external Ethereum wallet. If you already hold FLAT on-chain, you can move it into your FlatID vault for safekeeping and instant transfers.
Withdraw FLAT to any Ethereum address. Your tokens are always yours. Set up an exit wallet in Settings, and you can pull your funds on-chain whenever you choose.
The Savings Account: SAVE
Your FlatID savings account holds SAVE — the protocol's yield-bearing asset. SAVE represents locked RISE (the equity token of the FLAT Protocol) that earns a share of all treasury revenue.
How yield works: Every 12 seconds, the protocol's pulse() function fires. It harvests volatility from the FLAT/ETH trading pair, buys RISE on the open market, and distributes rewards to SAVE holders. The more supply that gets absorbed into SAVE, the fewer tokens share the revenue — and the higher your yield climbs. This is the Singularity Equation in action:
Yield = Revenue / (1 - α)
When absorption (α) reaches 90%, you're sharing revenue with only 10% of the supply. Your yield is 10x what it would be at 0% absorption. At 99%, it's 100x. The math is inexorable.
Converting between FLAT and SAVE: Inside your FlatID, you can swap between FLAT and SAVE at the current market rate. Moving from checking to savings means you're locking value into the yield engine. Moving from savings to checking means you're unlocking liquidity. Both directions are instant within FlatID.
Acquiring FLAT With Fiat Money: The P2P Exchange
Here is where FlatID becomes revolutionary for people who have never touched cryptocurrency before.
You do not need ETH. You do not need a MetaMask wallet. You do not need to understand gas fees or blockchain bridges. You need local currency — rupees, dollars, euros, rubles, yen, pounds — and another human being willing to trade.
How It Works
The FlatID P2P Exchange connects buyers and sellers directly. A seller posts an offer: "I will sell 1,000 FLAT at ₹85 per FLAT, payment via UPI." A buyer sees the offer, accepts it, and sends the fiat payment directly to the seller through whatever local payment method they agree on — UPI, bank transfer, PayPal, Wise, M-Pesa, cash in an envelope. The protocol doesn't care.
Once the seller confirms receipt of fiat payment, the FLAT tokens are released from escrow into the buyer's FlatID checking account. Done. The buyer now holds inflation-protected digital money, acquired with nothing more than their local currency and a FlatID account.
Why This Matters
Traditional crypto onramps require KYC verification, bank account linking, and days of waiting. They charge 1-5% fees. They don't work in half the countries on Earth.
The FlatID P2P Exchange works everywhere. It works for the unbanked. It works for people in countries with capital controls. It works for anyone who can find another human being willing to trade. The fee is whatever the market sets — often zero between friends and family.
This is how a billion people will access sound money for the first time.

A Bridge to 151 Currencies Worldwide
FlatID is not just another crypto wallet — it is a universal bridge between every fiat currency on Earth and the FLAT Protocol. When you open your FlatID, you choose your home currency, and everything — balances, transaction history, exchange rates, P2P offers — is displayed in the money you already know.
This is what makes FLAT a credible path to becoming a reserve currency: it speaks every currency fluently. A farmer in Kenya sees Kenyan Shillings. A developer in Tokyo sees Japanese Yen. A merchant in São Paulo sees Brazilian Real. Underneath, it is all FLAT — the universal settlement layer that connects them all without intermediaries, without conversion fees, without permission.

151 currencies. Every continent. Every major economy. Every emerging market.
From the US Dollar to the Uzbekistani Som, from the Euro to the Ethiopian Birr — FlatID treats them all as first-class citizens. No currency is privileged. No country is excluded. This is what a truly global financial protocol looks like.
Change your display currency anytime in Settings. Your FLAT balance remains the same — only the lens through which you view it changes.
Security Model
FlatID is designed with a layered security architecture:
Your vault is a smart contract. The FlatIDVault (deployed at 0xEe0505bc4ecA8cE7a48AA4C7037bc11555881644 on Ethereum mainnet) holds all FLAT tokens backing FlatID checking accounts. Deposits are unlimited — anyone can send FLAT to the vault. Withdrawals are rate-limited by an adjustable daily cap (currently 50,000 FLAT) to prevent catastrophic loss in case of compromise.
Guardian protection. A Gnosis Safe multisig can pause the vault instantly if suspicious activity is detected. The admin (secured by a Ledger hardware wallet) can unpause once the situation is resolved.
Your password never leaves your device. Authentication uses bcrypt-hashed passwords with JWT session tokens. We never store or transmit your plaintext password.
Exit wallet verification. Before you can withdraw to an external address, you must configure and confirm your exit wallet. This prevents unauthorized withdrawals even if your session is compromised.
The Vision
FlatID is the first step toward a world where financial services are a public utility, not a private toll road. Where sending money across borders costs nothing. Where your savings grow automatically without enriching fund managers. Where access to sound money requires nothing more than an internet connection.
We are building the bank that banks fear. Not because we break laws — but because we make their laws irrelevant. Mathematics requires no banking license. Smart contracts require no compliance department. Peer-to-peer exchange requires no payment processor.
The protocol is live. The vault is deployed. The exchange is open.
Create your FlatID today. The future of money is already here — it's just not evenly distributed yet.
FlatID is currently in beta. All smart contracts are verified on Etherscan. The protocol operates on Ethereum mainnet. FLAT is pegged to CPI-U via the CPIOracle (v3). SAVE yield is generated autonomously by the protocol's treasury operations. Past performance of the treasury does not guarantee future results. Users are responsible for their own security practices including password strength and exit wallet configuration.
